why, hello!

"My name is Twila Clair, Owner & Founder of Twila Clair Fine Art Photography, Firefly Menagerie Productions, and The Lantern Marquee. I am so glad you've stopped by to learn a little about me. My life has been a giant adventure, but at the heart of it has always been and will always be photography.
Working through college I took a job at Kiddie Kandids to make ends meet. My first day on the job hadn't even come to an end before I was hooked. I soon became the assistant manager followed by the manager of the Provo store. The world played out in front of me during those days, I even remember what camera bay I was cleaning when the twin towers were struck (yes, I realize I've aged myself indefinitely in this first paragraph haha; here - I will one up that: I learned on FILM...nothing digital).
My days were full of so much joy - meeting the most amazing families and spending all my time with beautiful little ones. But I remember one day in particular my love for photography began to evolve in a deeply personal way. I photographed a darling little boy, so cute and happy. He had thick red glasses, and a smile that made all of us giggle, and wore a plaid bowtie. Aside from him being so adorable I was almost distracted, it was a perfect sitting. A few weeks later his family returned to purchase portraits for his funeral.
The experience permanently shaped my understanding of photography’s true purpose, that they allow us to remember that even if only for just a moment, everything was perfect. What followed is a passion for photography that grew beyond even my own understanding - an emotionally intuitive desire to create something for families that they will cherish for the rest of their lives. I believe photographs are far more than images - they are preservation of feeling and that philosophy continues to guide every wedding, family portrait, and editorial session I create today.....Love you!"
her Productions:
"Clair’s guidance turns that new talent into something remarkable. In her director’s note, she shares how she left a corporate career to rediscover her love of storytelling, and that passion radiates through every scene. Her vision blends circus spectacle, emotional honesty, and imagination into an unforgettable experience for Utah audiences. This is just a small taste of what’s yet to come—and I, for one, can’t wait to see what magic she stirs up next."
-Cynthia Terry, Front Row Reviewers

"Twila's mind is a fever dream is creativity, and the community is lucky to have her ingenuity on full display. Everyone should see one of her shows at one point in their life. It's like a painting in real life!!"
-Kally Beckstead, Local Artists Unite

My Story
"For over 26 years, Twila Clair Fine Art Photography has been my baby as I documented weddings, families, and love stories with a cinematic eye shaped by world travel, theatrical storytelling, and a profound understanding of human connection. From the emerald waters of The Cayman Islands and the deserts of Qatar to the misty coastlines of the Olympic Peninsula and the red rock canyons of Utah, I have spent a lifetime chasing extraordinary light, rich color, and fleeting beauty wherever it appears. Yet no matter how far I travel, Provo, Utah remains the heart of my artistic identity - the glow of bistro lights on summer nights, Rockwell ice cream beneath Sundance skies, spring blossoms drifting through historic streets, and the timeless romance of the Provo City Center Temple with it's gorgeous patina fountain all continue to influence the emotional light woven through my work.
With an education in graphic design that provided value within my photography, I went beyond that and launched not only a production company but also an immersive theatrical world that specializes in large-scale visual story-telling. These companies have taken me all over the world and back again - all with the intent to bring light, color and artistry in breathtaking harmony as a storyteller, and all the while the camera never left my hands.
Beyond artistry, I also cherish my decades of executive-level client care experience from my time as a Vice President at Zions Bank, where I refined the relationship-centered service philosophy that now defines my photography business. I understand that trust, responsiveness, and emotional investment matter just as much as beautiful imagery. For me every client relationship is personal, and every gallery represents something sacred: the preservation of joy, love, and the fleeting moments that make life beautiful.
Whether photographing a massive luxury destination wedding or a small family elopement; whether artistically managing concerts, or curating a performance for 50 people under the stars my goal remains the same - to create moments that allow people to return not just to what they looked like, but to what they felt. Years from now, I hope my clients remember laughing with their photographer behind the camera, but more importantly remember themselves: deeply loved, fully alive, and surrounded by beauty in a moment worth holding onto forever."
