why, hello!

For over 26 years, Twila Clair Fine Art Photography has been my baby as I have documented weddings, families, and love stories with a cinematic eye shaped by world travel, theatrical storytelling, and a profound understanding of human connection.

From the emerald waters of the Cayman Islands and the deserts of Qatar to the misty coastlines of the Olympic Peninsula and the red rock canyons of Utah, I have spent a lifetime chasing extraordinary light, rich color, and fleeting beauty wherever it appears. Yet no matter how far I travel, Provo, Utah remains at the heart of my artistic identity—the glow of bistro lights on summer nights, Rockwell ice cream beneath Sundance skies, spring blossoms drifting through historic streets, and the timeless romance of the Provo City Center Temple and its gorgeous patina fountain all continue to influence the emotional light woven through my work.

My education in graphic design gave me a foundation in composition, color, visual hierarchy, and storytelling that naturally became part of my photography. But eventually, the stories I wanted to tell became bigger than a single frame.

After building an executive career in corporate banking that I am incredibly proud of, including serving as a Vice President at Zions Bank, I made one of the most frightening decisions of my life: I left the security of that career to build something of my own. I launched The Firefly Menagerie and The Lantern Marquee, creating not simply a production company, but an immersive theatrical world centered around large-scale visual storytelling and unforgettable human experiences.

It was terrifying. It was incredibly hard. And it taught me more about courage, creativity, leadership, and people than almost anything else in my life.

Through theatre, I discovered another way to do what I had already spent decades doing through a camera: create a moment people don't want to leave.

There is something magical about watching an empty space become an entirely different world through light, music, scenery, performance, color, and human connection. Whether producing an intimate performance beneath the stars or transforming a room into a fully realized theatrical experience, the greatest reward has always been watching people walk away carrying something with them—joy, wonder, laughter, connection, or simply the memory of how they felt long after the curtain call.

And through all of it, the camera never left my hands.

Photography, theatre, design, and production may appear to be different disciplines, but to me they have always been different expressions of the same thing: storytelling. They have taken me across the world and back again, always searching for ways to bring light, color, artistry, and emotion together in breathtaking harmony.

My years in banking gave me something equally important. At Zions Bank, I refined the relationship-centered service philosophy that has defined both my corporate and entrepreneurial careers. Executive-level client care taught me that trust, responsiveness, problem-solving, and emotional investment matter just as much as talent. I learned how to sit across from people making enormous decisions, understand what matters to them, and earn the privilege of being trusted with something important.

That philosophy follows me everywhere.

For me, every client relationship is personal, every production begins with a feeling we want someone to experience, and every gallery represents something sacred: the preservation of joy, love, and the fleeting moments that make life beautiful.

Whether I am photographing a massive luxury destination wedding or a small family elopement; artistically managing a concert or building an immersive performance for 50 people beneath the stars; working with executives across a conference table or laughing with a bride behind my camera, my goal remains remarkably unchanged:

I want to create experiences people remember because of how they felt.

Years from now, I hope my photography clients remember laughing with their photographer behind the camera. I hope audiences remember the night the lights dimmed and, for a little while, they stepped into another world. I hope the people I have worked beside remember that they mattered to me.

But more than anything, I hope they remember themselves in those moments—deeply loved, fully alive, surrounded by beauty, and experiencing a little bit of joy worth holding onto long after the curtain falls.
