The Firefly Menagerie's The Dreamers of VoleVille Full Synopsis
Under the dreamless glow of Voleville, hope flickers like a fairy light beneath smog-filled skies. Framed by spires and industrial marvels lies a chilling truth: dreams are now currency.
Leading the city's dream-harvesting syndicate is Sevo, a brilliant mind preserved in a mechanical trolley, his body long gone as he nurtures his prized possession Andouille. Andouille is perfect in every way to lead the town - looks, education, and abilities but he lacks creativity, imagination and worse yet, dreams. Despite his impressive resume, Andouille is completely unable to lead effectively due to what he lacks. Sevo, desperate to sustain him, siphons the dreams of kidnapped orphans who are unwanted residents of the streets of Voleville. With the help of his syndicate of cyborgs and clones they find their efforts growing futile as the children are outsmarting them at every corner. Now they must recruit the worst of the worst to grow their targeted dream-harvesting activities exponentially.
When a young boy is taken, his older brother Avec, a strongman circus performer, begins a desperate search through the underbelly of Voleville. He crosses paths with a beautiful young woman named Sans, a caretaker of street orphans, whom he recruits to help him find his brother. A reluctant alliance forms and blossoms into more as they face the task of freeing little brother.
What unfolds is a visual masterpiece filled with symbolism, humor and an unexpected love story with adventure, sacrifice and climactic performances that will linger with you long after the curtain calls!
The Dreamers of Voleville is a story of stolen dreams, found family and the unshakable power of love amidst those who would tell you that you're worthless, only to steal your power thanklessly. It provides painfully hilarious symbolism to the evils of corporate management and parallels the heart wrenching relatability we all have be loved by a family.

Aerials, dry ice fog, holographic effects all await you. The Dreamers of VoleVille is family friendly, never gory, only fun with hints of mystery and an occasional shriek of the monsters! If steampunk, Paris, circus, jewel tones and music is your thing - you can't miss this!!!

All cast and crew get professional images taken. For this show we are using green screen technology. There isn't time to time travel to Paris and sneak into an old world circus!
So for now, we shoot at rehearsal and bring magic in post!

Makeup Alchemy!!
The makeup in "Dreamers" is both twisted and beautiful! Our makeup artist has talent in spades - enough to please both those looking for amazing holloween looks at our show and those who love the glam! We reimagined vintage hollywood monsters into a circus steampunk fever dream!
Organ Donor!
The set for "The Dreamers of VoleVille" is a feat of engineering! From Sevo - our bodiless brain villain, to a steampunk organ you have to see to believe...and everything in between! Our set designers and construction team will stop at nothing to present the most visually impressive VoleVille you could ever want to see!
Sing & Swing!
Our Cast members take flight while singing! Throughout the show, our leads perform simple aerial stunts while singing, taking their choreography to a stunning level. We could not be more impressed with Ian & Annabelle as they take flight while falling in love in a dystopian world!
A Kaleidoscope of Costumers!
The costumes in 'Dreamers" is eclectic & fun and is brought to life by an amazing team! Our steampunk batch of lost boys (& girls) allows us to distress....with glitter - the funnest combination ever! Our wildlings are orphaned circus performers and each costume represents a fun archetype within the magic of old world circus. a style you wont find anywhere else!

Our Aerial stars in "Dreamers" dont get a pass! They are costumed, get the full makeup treatment and sing in the ensemble numbers! They are goddesses of all trades! How we love our aerial guys and gals (yep dracula will be up there too! Follow us on social media to sneak peaks of that!) Brain Born, Hand Sketched
Our amazing costumer Haven hand sketched all our costume mockups! We can barely keep up with her imagination. She then engineers, fits and embellishes the wardrobe for the entire show! Her vivid engineering makes our show visually incredible!
